Welcome!

I’m Jen – writer, coach, and super-fan of Mother Earth.

I’ve been writing and working to help the planet for years, and now that I write fiction our planet’s future is often part of the story.

My debut series, In A Captured State, is a post-climate apocalyptic dystopian trilogy that takes place five generations after Earth is devastated and has become barely habitable (description below).

Book One, Sanzarth to NeoEarth, is targeted for release in 2026.

Here’s a brief description of Book One
In A Captured State: Sanzarth to NeoEarth

Greed may try to destroy the human race, but love can win out over slavery and a brutal dictatorship.

Five generations after a climate apocalypse, Earth is divided into two worlds – those who prepared and built an underground utopia called Sanzarth, and those who struggled to survive the devastation and slowly rebuilt on the surface a world called NeoEarth.

When Peoria turns seventeen, she learns why teens in her underground world disappear, why life isn’t as perfect as some would believe, and how Sanzarth’s government covered it up.

Captured and turned into a NeoEarth slave, Peoria finds herself on a surface she’d been told was uninhabitable. And at the mercy of her captor, Dashara – a newly appointed NeoEarth hunter who is figuring out how wrong her job is.

But, while the lives of Peoria’s family and community in Sanzarth are threatened she’s faced with saving her new family, those she’s enslaved with. People who’ve come to call her their leader. As she resists this responsibility, and her abductor, Peoria must fight for her own life so she can escape to save her sister from the same fate.
