I’m Jen – writer, coach, and super-fan of Mother Earth.
I’m excited you’re here and to share my latest project: my debut novel and dystopian series called In A Captured State.
Here is a brief description of Book One
In A Captured State:
Sanzarth to NeoEarth

In 2174, five generations after a climate apocalypse, humans live underground in Sanzarth, a preplanned Utopia. The only glitch is that young adults often disappear.
When strong willed Peoria is abducted on her 17th birthday by Dashara, a unseasoned hunter from the surface world, she finds out the truth: humans did survive on the surface and they’re enslaving people from her world.
Unsure of who to trust, these two women will fight to survive the conflict between their worlds and their feelings towards each other. To do this, they will have to take on a system that requires everyone but the rich live In A Captured State.

Develop your writing skills
In September 2024, I started a Fiction Writers’ Prompt and Critique Group. The group is free to attend (click the link to register) and is for anyone interested in learning the craft of writing. Whether you’ve been writing for a while or have an idea for a story and want to see if you can get it on the page, check out my monthly Fiction Writers’ Group. It can help you develop your craft.
Visit the How I Write page, also available on the menu.
I explain how I developed my writing – so far, it’s a WIP – and provide useful resources to help you learn (they’re the ones I use). There’s a few more to come, but my favorites are there.
